One thing you can never have too many of is snack options for your kids. Little ones seem to have endless appetites. It is mama suicide to leave the house or take a car ride without an array of snack/drink options (beyond your standard water or milk). There are thousands in your local grocery store, but many of them contain tons of sugar, leaving kids unsatisfied and hopped up. This presents a mom with the challenge of finding snacks that are low in sugar, yet big on flavor. Here are a few of our favorites: some old standbys and some new and notable, and all are all-natural:
our snack standbys…
Annie’s Homegrown Snacks
We’ve tried just about every product by Annie’s and love that they’re certified organic, but don’t taste like they have “lost all the good stuff”. The kids’ favorites are the cheddar bunny crackers, grahams and fruit snacks (not to mention the mac & cheese is a dinner favorite).
Annie Chun’s Seaweed SnacksYou wouldn’t expect most kids (or adults) to like seaweed, but they do! Annie Chun’s seaweed is a savory on-the-go treat. They contain just seaweed, canola and sesame oil, brown sugar and sea salt and now come in easy travel packages.
Back to Nature Snacks
We love these for the taste and ingredients: no hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors. They come in great travel packs for school lunches or trips. Our favorites are the Honey Graham Sticks and Crispy Cheddars.

Vita Coco Kids
We love these new juice boxes. They come in two fab flavors: Pink Lemonade & Blueberry. They appeal to kids with the characters on the packaging and tasty flavor, while they appeal to moms for having potassium, half the sugar and calories of the leading brands.
Juice Press is all the rage with juicing New Yorkers so naturally (no pun intended), they introduced a drink for the little guys with wholesome ingredients like almond milk, coconut milk, and coconut extract and/or nectar. They offer the milks in chocolate, strawberry, and my kids’ favorite, banana. With the yummy flavors come a nice dose of fiber, antioxidants or potassium. We love these for an alternative to dessert or as a special “treat”.
